Iron Craft 2016 Challenge 1

I love to craft, my daughter loves to craft but sometimes we just need a little inspiration. So why not give Iron Craft a try. Iron Craft is hosted by the lovely Just Crafty Enough web site http://www.justcraftyenough.com/. Even if you aren't up for the challenge, go visit their web site for all sorts of crafty goodness!
The first challenge was to craft something that incorporated traditional 5th anniversary gifts. Yikes! Silverware?! Wood?! Hmmm... I do not trust myself with saws or other sharp objects of a large nature so this might take some creativity.
My 5 year old has a subscription to Tinker Crate (That's my referral link) that had arrived about the same time as the challenge posted. That month's theme? Automatons... made with WOOD! Well I lucked out. D and I sat down over the weekend and created this nifty craft.

Tinker Crate supplied the pre cut pieces of wood and cardboard as well as the balls that "walk" through the "machine" when the crank is turned. I'm not sure who is more mesmerized by this, me or my daughter.
